Beginning Tuesday, November 2, there will be a gathering of art that is breathtaking. I know. I had a short walk through today and, well, some of these painting have to be seen to be believed. The Foothills Art Association opens its doors once again for it annual Wildlife painting exhibit. Monday all the paintings will be up and judging will begin and the gallery will be closed. I certainly do not envy this year's judge based upon what little of the exhibit I was fortunate enough to see. By the end of the day winners will be selected. Then on Saturday, the 6th, from 4.30 to 6.30, there will be a reception there at the gallery. Winners will be announced, prizes awarded, free food and drink and music. Hey, did I mention "Free"?
You'll recall that I have spoken of the many award winning artists who are members and that their work regularly adorns the walls of our gallery. Well, drop by Saturday or actually any day during the month and just take a look. We are at Porter Hall, 4910 Memorial Dr., there at the corner of Memorial and La Mesa Blvd., from 11 am to 4 pm. See you there.

I'm just back from the gallery where they continue to take in paintings for the exhibition. Real "Eye poppers!!" Spoke with Billie Mear, who is conducting the Wildlife show for us. She told me to tell you that the Foothills Art Association's WIldlife Show is the longest running Wildlife juried show in Southern California and this is its 21st year. Here is a sample of what you will be seeing this year
