80th Day Celebration At Warren Walker
LA MESA -- On Wednesday, January 25, 2012, the students, faculty, and administration of our Lower Schools celebrated the 80th Day of the 80th Year of Warren-Walker School by reenacting history on a "Human Timeline." Prekindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade students wore the numbers for the timeline. Various teachers and students played the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Warren - Nellie Walker's parents - Nellie Walker herself, her daughter Ruth Sweeney, Baby Ray, Mr. Volker, Baby Pam, Mrs. Volker, etc. There was dancing and singing, as well as cheering for the many hallmarks of progress of Warren-Walker School. It was great fun, as well as educational, helping the students understand and appreciate our wonderful legacy!
