Or, perhaps President Reagan's lifetime in politics gave him better-informed viewpoints on governance, freedom and the damage term limits do to both. Something to consider.

It confounds me Kristine that there are those who feel like an opportunity for
"The people" to vote every four years is not considered an adequate enough form of "Term Limits".

I am much more concerned about the amount of outside money that has found its way into La Mesa this cycle and the outside financing of Baber and McWhirther. To me the Voters should make their voices heard by not Voting for these two Candidates. To me that is the purest definition of a Popular Movement.

I do not like the notion of Baber, the Professional Politician Lobbyist, who is managing Props in other parts of San Diego County, and McWhirther who I would suggest is Baber's fall guy who is being tasked with paying his Political dues with both of them riding on the coat tails of Dr A's untarnished and respectful persona.

This is an excerpt from a comment that was made by a Arturo Rivera who met Mark at a 'Meet and Greet' and what Mark said to him about the Lincoln Club and his funding to him.

"He told us he initially did not pass the Lincoln Club interview and they are funding him without his consent or input."

So Dr A is being forced to accept funding? How does that work Kristine?

No surprise that Reagan said that, all politicians, across party lines don't like term limits.  Democrat, Republican, Independent, it doesn't matter.  They like to stay in power, they like the perks of office, they enjoy being part of a ruling political class.  Term limits are a purely popular movement, by the people against the idea of a political class.  It's always odd to me that people think it's somehow a partisan issue, it's not, all parties want to retain their favored politicians, only the people want to have safeguards against politicians.

And as the Icon of the Republican Party, Ronald Reagan, said publicly and contrary to Kristine Allessio and Bill Baber the Author of Prop K

Ronald Reagan in his presidential farewell address in 1989 when he said that terms limits are “a preemption of the people’s right to vote for whomever they want as many times as they want.”

It’s amazing that advocates of term limits don’t recognize that simple principle. Legislation or a constitutional amendment that imposes term limits at any level of government would merely diminish the political power of ordinary voters.
