"Back Pack" Help For Kids

The Salvation Army and Cricket Wireless held its “Stuff the Pack” school supply drop-off event at The Salvation Army’s Kroc Center in La Mesa on Monday, Aug. 22.

Between July 15 to Aug.13, San Diego County residents dropped off school supplies and other items including notebooks, pencils, paper, backpacks, binders, glue sticks, hand sanitizer and more at participating Cricket Wireless authorized retailers around San Diego. More than 1,500 school supply items were collected during “Stuff the Pack” drive.

This partnership between The Salvation Army and Cricket Wireless was created to provide San Diego’s kids in need with new backpacks and the school supplies they need to be successful in the classroom this coming school year.
