The Final Christmas Gift: A Tree Back To The Earth

Christmas trees, including flocked trees, may be recycled in EDCO's yard waste recycling program. Place cut trees in designated yard waste recycling container(s), or bundle tree sections together with twine (maximum 4 feet in length and 18 inches in diameter) and place on curb. No ornaments, tinsel, nails or stands, please.

Residents can also drop off full trees for recycling at EDCO Station, located at 8184 Commercial Street in La Mesa's industrial center from December 26 to January 15. Available Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Sunday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. (Closed New Year's Day.) Free mulch will be available on a self-load/self-haul basis.
