LAKE MURRAY -- La Mesa Police announced the arrest of a suspect in the Nov. 13 robbery of the 76 Station on Lake Murray Boulevard
Just before 7 p.m. Wednesday night members of the La Mesa Police Department's Special Enforcement Detail Team arrest 34-year-old James Randall goins for the robbery. Goins was arrested at his home in downtown San Diego and was later booked into San Diego County Jail on one count of robbery.
Police originally responded to a report of a robbery at the 76 Station, located at 6085 Lake Murray Boulevard in the early morning hours of Nov. 13. The store clerk told police that a white male suspect entered the food mart and posed as a customer.The suspect selected two items from the display racks and approached the cash counter to make a purchase with the clerk. While the clerk was ringing up the items at the cash register, the suspect armed himself with a large pocket knife and threatened to stab the clerk if she did not hand over the cash from the register.
