On All Those Troubles In The East
LA MESA -- It may be a little hot this week, but one need only look a couple thousand miles to our east to feel good, once again, for living in a place as serene as La Mesa.
Not only did the East Coast of the U.S. had a rattling earthquake, now it must gird for a hurricane that can knock their homes down with wind, flood their streets with rain and bury their beaches in storm surge.
I called my relatives back east while sitting on my warm veranda last night. Most were scrambling to move the elderly to higher ground. Except for musician sister Christine. She was busy putting hurricanes to music.
Enjoy, and do check your earthquake preparedness kits. It can't be long for us. Fires. Earthquakes. We got ours. Knock on wood.
