Not All Angels Have Wings

LA MESA -- Not all angels have wings, and not all heroes wear capes.  Some just come to your store and bring you a new supply of three -- yes three!! -- brand new dog water bowls to replace the ones that walked away...

How much better can a day get than when an angel-hero disguised as a human goes out of his way to do something so good and so kind.  And if I know my angels and heroes like I think I do, they prefer to keep their identity out of the glare of publicity.  (I think it's in their Manual of Angel Behavior and Hero Protocol.)

On behalf of the dogs who don't have to drink out of the celery keeper any longer,  I'd like to say thank you to the Lifesighs Angel-Hero of the week.  You know who you are.

With love and gratitude from Chris Shea (and all the pups who quench their thirst) here at Lifesighs Cards.

Chris, when I come across a story like this I am able to move inward and, for a time, put away thoughts of all the government corruption, lies, racism, bigotry, pomposity and everything that goes with the subject. My wee dog and I can for atime, become the centre of the universe and we enjoy one another. When we stroll the Village we see a few signs here and there of people like yourself who also care. Wee dog will wander about and sniff the odd water bowls and occasionally take a lap or two. I suspect its not because of thirst but just the joy of life. Thank you not only for what you have done but also allowing an old man and his dog just be an old man and his dog.

How refreshing to read about random acts of kindness rather than the usual barrage of bad news.  Hope dog owners understand the subliminal chalk message--thirsty pups may help themselves to water, owners may not borrow the bowl!

How sweet of the "Lifesighs Angel-Hero" to bring 3 new dog water bowls!  There is kindness out there in this cynical world :-)    Hope the city of La Mesa doesn't have a "chalk writing" ordinance though..lol
