Saturday Fundraiser Will Support Community Project

LA MESA -- The big event of this weekend in the Jewel of the Hills is clearly Saturday's Fundraiser at Johnny B's.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 percent of all food and drink sales at the restaurant will go toward the Lookout Centennial Project planned for construction just across from the restaurant. Johnny B's will also match the amount raised through sales.

Drawings for raffle prizes will occur throughout the day and you don't have to be present to win. You can have a burger and a beer, buy some raffle tickets and if you win, you will be contacted later.

The big highlight is the 1 p.m. Live Auction. CLICK HERE to see some of the auction items.

Organizers still need a little over $15,000 to reach the $165,000 needed to construct the gazebo and cast the giant Helix snail that will be the centerpieces of this Centennial Legacy Project.

Stop by Johnny B's on Saturday and lend some support.
