LA MESA – Dale Beatty, RN, BSN, MSN, NEA-BC, has joined Sharp Grossmont Hospital as chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services. In this role, Beatty will oversee the patient care / nursing services in the hospital. He will also be responsible for several of Sharp Grossmont’s quality goals in patient care.

Beatty has demonstrated a patient-focused approach to healthcare redesign initiatives throughout his career, possessing more than 12 years of experience in a chief nursing officer role. Prior to joining Sharp Grossmont, Beatty served as executive vice president and chief nursing officer at Northwest Community Healthcare in the Chicago-metro area.
Beatty started his career as critical care staff nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He has since served in a number of leadership roles at various hospitals and health systems in the Midwest, including Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a national premier academic medical center, and SSM Healthcare/St. Francis Hospital and Health Center. During his tenure, SSM Healthcare was the first healthcare organization to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award – an honor later bestowed on Sharp HealthCare in 2007.
Beatty has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio Wesley University and a Master of Science with Distinction from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of the American Organization for Nurse Executives, Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nursing.
