An Outpouring Of Support For Wounded Deputy

LA MESA -- Donors were streaming into the La Mesa Police Department today to donate blood to support the San Diego County sheriff deputy gravely wounded in Lakeside recently.

Men and women, police officers and public officials from throughout La Mesa -- several who skipped out of work to do so -- crowded the community room throughout the event in honor of Ali Perez, who is still recovering from wounds suffered while serving a child abuse warrant.

Other events are planned to support Perez and his family as he continues to heal from his wounds. CLICK HERE for details.
