The Big Read Returns Tuesday

LA MESA -- Write Out Loud is holding another of its "Big Read" public readings in La Mesa, this one featuring Vice Mayor Mark Arapostathis, in a formal reading of Ray Bradbury's short story The Love Affair of Laurel and Hardy.

The reading, which will include performances by Write Out Loud Co-Founders Walter Ritter and Veronica  Murphy, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the intimate confines of the San Pasqual Winery Tasting Room at 8364 La Mesa Boulevard.

Last year's performance reading of Poe's The Cask of the Amontillado, also featuring Arapostathis, was held in the same place and made for a fun evening for dozens of local literature fans who attended. (see photo above).

The evening will also include the sale of San Pasqual Winery's signature selection of hand-crafted wines and appetizers.

Seating is limited. Admission is free.
