In an effort to restoring La Mesa beautiful look and to upscale the area in general, I am initiating a "People Neighborhood Report" group. The purpose of this group is to keep a constant watch to insure that every homeowner keeps their property up to standard and complying with the City of La Mesa laws and requirements. For example the City of La Mesa requires homeowners to keep up with their front landscape, free of weeds and clear of any junk. The enforcement department of the City of La Mesa will not act on its own, but it will do it to respond to a citizen complaint. Many rentals are not cared as required, many residents property owner do not care to keep their front yard clean. Before La Mesa turns into a bad junky area we, the people, need to get involved and reverse the course. Anyone interested in getting involved, including the City of La Mesa politicians, should contact me at sharplook@cox.net

there is no volunteer gestapo going around. This site is only to make people aware that there is a solution if their neighbors are not acting civil. We will guide and guide them on how to file a complaint.  Now go catch some real criminals Batman......

Batman, I agree with you 100% that we already have enough government intrusion in many areas where we do not need big brother. However in our case when few people disrespect other people pride and property by bringing down the value of our area, then this people is infringing in our rights of pursuing happiness. In this case we need to use our government to have everyone follow the laws and regulations.
