The Big Wait Is Over

LA MESA -- That's right, this Thursday June 19th at 5:00 p.m. the La Mesa Village Merchants Association's TWENTY THIRD YEAR of "Back To The 50's Classic Cars & Bike Shows" begin.

The beautiful tree lined streets of "The Village" will start showing off all those classic rides we all love to drool over while hitting one of our cool restaurants or taverns for dinner or some drinks. Everything under the sun from pre-1973 will be on hand. Ford's, Chevy's, and of course Mopar's will line La Mesa Boulevard from 4th Street all the way down to Acacia Street.

Music will be heard at the Yogurt Mill, Palm & La Mesa Blvd., and Don Keating Cars areas. Angle's Creations and Crazy Steve will be our host DJ's this year followed by a multitude of various bands either at the Yogurt Mill or Don Keating's.

Jack Leary, our former DJ at Palm & La Mesa for twenty years, is now the Operations Manager working for The Merchants Association.

This family fun event is free to the public and show car owners and is The Longest Running Classic Car Show in San Diego County. Jack has advised he has a special Event coming on JULY 3rd at the show and the theme will be saluting all our military, active and veterans the night before 4th of July with the streets lined with American Flags. Motorcycles will abound on Palm Avenue for this night and special awards given for motorcycles.

The Back to The 50's Shows run through August 28th, every Thursday night from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Well O'Dunn's could very well be a parking area, however the 12 to 15 THOUSAND Dollars to park there is a bit pricy....LOL

I'll see you all there. "Ol' Bessy" is all clean and shiny and ready to show. For your own safety remember - O' Dunn's art studio is NOT a parking structure!
