I recently viewed a Michael Moore video. More precisely, a wee portion thereof. Whilst I loath the man's socialist politics and world positions, there is generally just a tiny portion of his hate rhetoric that bears scrutiny.

Consider:  In today's world we, the "Amerikan" public, or at least those incredibly few of us that pay attention to the swirl of events about us, are actually directed - wait allow me to emphasis this: DIRECTED - in our views by a tiny minority of people in modern Amerikan media. An incredibly high percentage of would-be voters, estimates of well above 75%-85%, know little or nothing about current events, politicians, issues, etc. apart from what they are Directed to know and believe by the media. Even worse, these same people have reportedly "Tuned Out", having no desire to know anything beyound what they are told in the political talking points. They readily and willingly believe the lies, distortions and untruths spewed by these parties then vomit to any and all persons within hearing as gospel. These then repeat the lies until, well there you have it - 75%-85% of the voting population have no idea of any truth. Mention Sarah Palin the sit back and listen to the exact same lies and quoted remarks over and over. Try watching one of the "Man on the street" segments wherein political questions are posed. Its like watching Kindergarten children, literally! These same "American Idol"/ "Face Book"  fans can tell you exactly what and who is on television but have no idea whatsoever of the important issues or persons of the day. The Messiah in the White House spews his socialist, class warfare speeches and they are absorbed totally by the great unwashed as the absolute when in fact they consist of platitudes and Chicago-styled class warfare rhetoric designed to further separate us as a people and as a nation. These same people, if they are even smart enough and not so lazy as to totally ignore elections, will enter the voting booth knowing nothing or no one apart from what they have been DIRECTED to know by the media - AND THEY ACCEPT THIS AS THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE!!!!!

Joseph Goebbels was famous for telling us that, "A lie repeated enough will become truth". That is exactly what has happened and continues to happen in this country, at all levels of government. For many decades and today there is NO TRUTH apart from that spewed by the political parties, their hired liars and the press. In the past, really not so long ago, some 60 corporations controlled what we learned about our country. Today that number has been driven down to six - 6! The news media outlets being for the most part "owned and operated" by the two political parties, select the news They think should be dissiminated, touted, broadcast 24 hours a day for weeks on end. They contribute to the political parties, select their favourite sons and daughters as candidates, sing their praises and slander all others. They tell about the "tingle in the legs" for one whilst muck raking all others. Despite what the parties and the press shout, we have little or nothing to say in running our own nation, our states, our own communities. Wait. Think about that. You think YOU elect presidents? If you're not too stupid, sit and think about that. Ever hear of the "Electorial College"? A little process designed to "quote" even out the popular vote between large and small states? Believe that? Think locally, Think La Mesa. How often do you think of the Water District and how they operate apart from writing that ever increasing check so they wont shut off your water? Try speaking to their board then listen to the condescending responses letting you know you are below their contempt and they will do what they want. THEN read about their meetings and how successful they are in all areas.

We have little or no say in any operations concerning government, food prices, gas prices, property prices and taxes or anything yet the media continues to pump out the party line that all is well in the nation, in our communities as well as our homes. Yet, even though the Messiah says otherwise, the unemployment continues to rise, home property values continue to drop, more people give up looking for jobs and we can barely afford gas and food today. The media, echoing the party line however, tells us the Messiah is the answer whilst any other candidate is the scraping of one's shoe. And the vast majority of the citizenry believe it, genuflect, stand with arms raised screaming "Sieg Heil" at Obama's every utterance whilst the press ensures daily and nightly video coverage to reinforce. Again, if you're not too stupid, you might pick up that copy of George Orwell's "1984". That is those who can read. You might see some pretty familiar things jumping from the pages.

Some homes are slow to sell even in the hottest markets

With full-fledged sellers’ markets underway in dozens of metropolitan areas around the country, new research has found curious statistical patterns emerging: Even in cities where listings get multiple offers within days or hours, significant numbers of homes are sitting on the market for six months, 12 months, or more with no takers. Among the reasons: Mispricing, excessive restrictions on access to buyers and agents, failure to clean or make repairs, and a variety of other marketing bungles.  Read the full story.
