Gas Leak Closes Road, Snarls Traffic

LA MESA -- A gas line break has snarled traffic and forced the evacuation of businesses along Fletcher Parkway this afternoon.

Police advised avoiding the area as the eastbound lanes from Marengo to Jackson Drive had been closed.

On a day full of busy last minute shopping, this has caused major traffic backups.

Police re-opened the parkway at about 3:30 p.m.
