Group Helps Children of Cancer Victims

East County CLIMB is a 6 week program for children whose parents have cancer and are going through treatment. CLIMB stands for Children's Lives Include Moments of Bravery, and when a parent has cancer it affects  all family members. CLIMB is a group where kids get to meet and talk with other kids who are going through the same thing. This helps normalize their feelings. The group does an art project each night and works through a different emotion associated with having a parent with cancer. The group meets at Grossmont Hospital in the cancer center at 6:00 pm on Wednesdays. Please check out our website or e-mail for the next start up date.
