Thank you, whoever you are, who put up the lights in the village.  They look positively magical.

Thank you, whoever your are, who let me cross the street the other day when it really wasn't my turn.

Thank you, Goodwill, for making such an attractive space out of the Clock Tower corner.

Thank you Gingham folks for the promise of a new place to meet and dine and sip.  (I'm the one who walks past doing a pitiful imitation of the old Mervyn's Open Open Open commercials from days of old. Actually I hope you haven't seen me.  But I do think Open Open Open.)

Thank you, all the other businesses, for decorating your shops and making La Mesa look so warm and welcoming to all who either walk or drive through the center of the town.

Thank you, too, trolley, for the sounds you make.  Sounds of progress and motion, life moving along on smooth rails.

Thank you people whose faces I see frequently in our little down town.  It always feels so good to say hello.

Thank all of you who care about what happens to our town. While everyone doesn't always agree, of course, I do think that our ultimate goal of an even more wonderful VIllage is worth celebrating.

And lastly,  thank you La Mesa Today for being a splendid neighborhood online vehicle for us to stop by and visit every day.  I appreciate the  tone immeasurably.  Excellent journalism and photography, nice layout, and great ads.

That's all.  Just some December first thank you's...

Happy December everyone!

ditto, ditto, ditto!  As a village resident, it is my delight to walk the village and Windsor Hills weekly, admiring the restoration of our beautiful older homes, observing as other walkers pick up trash (and bend to pick up a bunch myself), and watching the Village take on the picture postcard aspect of Christmas's of old!  Can't wait for the upcoming Merchant evening.  La Mesa, the Village, is the best!
