LA MESA -- On June 13, 2015 at approximately 8:00 PM, La Mesa Police officers responded to a radio call of a battery involving two males at the MTS Trolley Station in the 8200 block of La Mesa Boulevard. The victim, a 52 year old male was struck multiple times and kicked in the head after he exited the trolley.
The motive for the attack is unknown at this time. At the time of the call, the suspect had
already left the scene.
La Mesa police later obtained video surveillance from the trolley and began an investigation into the incident. The victim was transported to Alvarado Hospital where he was treated for head and facial injuries and then
released. On July 8th, 2015 at approximately 12:00 PM, La Mesa Police Department’s
Special Enforcement Detail Team and the U.S. Marshalls arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile in this case. The juvenile was located at a residence in San Bernardino. He was transported back to San Diego and booked at Juvenile Hall on a felony charge of assault involving great bodily injury.
