Man Robbed At Knife Point
LA MESA -- A man waiting at a bus stop early Saturday morning was robbed at knife point and had his backpack stolen.
Police said at about 6:05 a.m., a male called La Mesa Police to report that he had been robbed at knife-point in the 5200 block of Baltimore Drive in La Mesa.
The victim was waiting at a bus stop when a gold-colored 4-door sedan traveling southbound on Baltimore Drive stopped in front of the bus bench. A male exited the front passenger seat and held a knife to the victim’s side while a female passenger in the vehicle grabbed the victim’s backpack. The male and female suspects got back into the vehicle, which was occupied by an additional male passenger and was driven by a second female. The vehicle was last seen fleeing the area southbound on Baltimore Drive.
The victim sustained a minor scratch to his side but did not require medical treatment. He ran to a nearby gas station to call police. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or the suspect vehicle. The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1: White or Hispanic male in his 30s with a goatee and wearing a black hooded shirt or sweatshirt. This was the subject who brandished the knife.
Suspect #2: White or Hispanic female in her 30s wearing a gold or similar color jacket. This was the subject who grabbed the victim’s property.
Suspect #3: White or Hispanic female who was driving the vehicle.
Suspect #4: White or Hispanic male who was a passenger in the vehicle.
