Man Stabbed In Village Fight

LA MESA -- Police arrested four men after a Sunday evening fight on La Mesa Boulevard left one victim with stab wounds to his chest.

Police said that just after 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a fight and a possible stabbing in the 8100 block of La Mesa Boulevard -- just west of Spring Street in La Mesa Village.

The 29-year-old male victim was walking with two friends westbound in the 8200 block of La Mesa Boulevard. Words were exchanged between the victim’s group and a group of five male suspects they encountered on the sidewalk. A fist fight broke out between both groups. During the fight one of the suspects armed himself with a pocket knife and stabbed the victim two times in the upper torso. The suspects fled on foot and the victim continued walking with his friends to the 8100 block of La Mesa Boulevard, where they called for help. Responding officers located four suspects who were positively identified by a witness. The knife used in the attack was found in the possession of the stabbing suspect.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. His wounds are not life threatening.

All four suspects were booked into San Diego County Jail for 245(a)(1) PC Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Suspect #1) Joshua Douglas Black, 19 year old transient.
Suspect #2) Anthony Michael Irving, 21 year old transient.
Suspect #3) Jorge Rico Molina, 20 year old transient.
Suspect #4) Arin Richard Lamourex, 20 years old from La Mesa.
