LA MESA -- Police are looking for two men who robbed a security guard at knifepoint Friday night.
Police said that just after 9:40 p.m. an unarmed, uniformed security guard working at the Parkway Pointe Condominium Complex located at 7500 Parkway Drive in La Mesa was robbed of cash and a cell phone by two men, one armed with a hunting knife.
The security guard was on duty in the complex and was walking in the main driveway just north of Parkway Drive when he was approached by two males. One male had a knife and held it up to the guard. This armed man demanded the guard hand over all valuables. The guard complied and handed over cash as well as his cell phone. The two suspects then ran west on Parkway Drive and away from the scene. The security guard was not injured in this incident. La Mesa Police officers searched the area, but did not locate the suspects.
Suspect #1 is described as a black, male, adult 30-40 years old, 6’-02” tall, 165 lbs. with a thin build. He had black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing dark colored clothing. The knife he was holding was described as a hunting style knife with an approximately 8” long blade that was jagged on one side.
Suspect #2 is described as a black male 30-40 years old, 6’-00” tall, 230 lbs. with a heavy build. He was wearing a black beanie, a gray hoodie and blue jeans.
