Police Stopped Burglars In The Act

LA MESA -- Police quickly responding to a resident's call for help apprehended two people attempting to burglarize a La Mesa home Saturday.

Police said the report came in at 3:12 p.m. of an attempted residential burglary in progress that was occurring in the 7500 block of High Street. The victim was in the house when someone could be heard attempting to open the door. A male and female were seen by the victim as they looked in windows on the side and back of the house.

When officers arrived, they found the male in front of the house. The female was contacted on the side of the house. Both were detained without incident.
