DUI Warrant Sweep Nets Three

LA MESA --The La Mesa Police Department conducted a DUI Warrant Sweep on Friday and arrested three people with outstanding warrants.
Police said a total of forty subjects with outstanding DUI warrants that had been issued in the last two months were identified. Several teams of Officers attempted to locate these subjects at their last known residential address or place of business. In the end, three of these subjects were located and arrested for the outstanding warrants.
Police said the warrant detail was publicized as a reminder to the citizens of our community that the La Mesa Police Department will not tolerate drunk drivers or those people that fail to complete their court mandated sentencing conditions as a result of a DUI arrest.
Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
For further information please contact Sergeant Peter Andersson of the La Mesa Police Department at (619) 667-7544.
