C. Hook Theater Gears Up For Opening Night

By Will Lavin La Mesa Today Correspondent

LA MESA—A group of La Mesa teenagers has been diligently working for the last several months to prepare a performance of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The teens are part of C. Hook Theater, a spinoff organization from Peter Pan Junior Theater. Both organizations are led by the long serving community leader, Dr. Mark Arapostathis. This year’s play is being performed by a number of teens who are graduates from the PPJT organization, including Zack Alper (Joseph) and Landon Rivers (Jacob.) This year’s C. Hook production will include appearances by the current PPJT performers who will help form the chorus for the musical. The cast will continue to prepare for the next two weeks in anticipation of the July 7th opening night. The play will be performed at the Joan Kroc Center on University Ave. Tickets can be purchased at www.chooktheater.com.
