Sales Tax Revenues Plummet

LA MESA -- The city council had a lesson in economics at its last meeting of 2009.



It was a sobering lesson.



Marney Cox, an economist for the San Diego Association of Governments, gave an overview of the current economic conditions. He warned the local leaders not to expect the financial challenges to blow over quickly.
