Helix Wins Charter, Loses Director

HELIX HIGH SCHOOL -- Helix High School and the Grossmont Union High School District have settled the charter dispute that had threatened to end Helix High's independent status.

Helix High Gets Its Super Bowl Ring!

LA MESA - The Super Bowl occurred about as far away as you can get from the Jewel of the Hills, but the cheering for the New Orleans Saints was noticeably louder through town.

At the sports bars in downtown and in the living rooms throughout La Mesa, many locals were pulling for one of their own - Reggie Bush. In fact, several La Mesans were seen wearing Helix High colors on their way to super bowl parties.
