This really angers me, more and more each time it happens. In recent years I have taken to correcting said clerks by telling him or her, "ITS CHRISTMAS, NOT HOLIDAYS". Often times the clerk will tell me quietly, "Merry Christmas". I have asked why they…Continue

In past years, my wife and I were fortunate enough to travel all about the country with our insatiable thirst for "Whats over the next hill" attitudes. We saw the magnificent as well as the ghastly. The latter pretty much described…Continue

An event happened yesterday, one that, whilst reported on by all the "news" outlets throughout the country, may have captured little actual traction with citizens. It certainly created a firestorm within the Republican ranks in the Senate and House of Representatives but, owing to widespread ignorance within the ranks of the rank and file American on the street, just slipped right by.…Continue

There are moments, events in our lives that are so indelibly etched in our minds that, pausing to remember, we are capable of almost reliving them. When called to mind we are often able to actually see those things about us we saw so many years ago, hear those same voices, the same snatches of melody, smells, car horns. In short, we, most of us, can actually relive just for that short, brief moment, what was…Continue
