Sure there are a lot of Charger fans in La Mesa. Probably a couple
closet Raider fans too, refugees from the Bay Area with the black
and silver in their closets. But we’re not interested in
professional sports here at La Mesa Today. Rather, we want to hear
about the accomplishments of the Purple Panther girls’ soccer club.
Or, the La Mesa Mets of the local Little League. Or the inside take
on the Helix High hoopsters or the Grossmont water polo team. We
invite you to post your team’s results here with all the game
details you can remember and want to share. Pictures and videos are
welcomed as well. From time to time, we at La Mesa Today will be
wandering the sidelines of the local sports fields. Feel free to
drop us a note if you believe your team’s exploits merit the
attention of a professional sportswriter. We can’t be everywhere,
but we will try. -- La Mesa Today editors
