Event Description

Keeping the brain sharp is vital to enjoying a full and rewarding lifestyle at any age. Dr. Linda Sasser will present simple strategies to maintain and even improve brain function during “Keep Your Brain Fit and Your Memory Sharp,” a free program scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at Mount Miguel Covenant Village, 325 Kempton St., Spring Valley.


Sasser will explore how memory works and typical age-related memory changes. She will teach her distinctive method of optimizing the brain functions of attention, working memory and long-term memory to remember names, information and tasks. Attendees will leave having learned simple activities to help maintain and even improve brain function.


Sasser has been studying and speaking on the issues impacting memory and brain health for more than three decades. She has an M.A. and Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a former education professor at Judson University, Elgin, Ill. and Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill.
