Event Description

If you, or someone you care about, is facing prostate cancer surgery, it's important to know the advantages of receiving care from Sharp, San Diego's health care leader.

Approximately one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. While getting the disease may be out of your control, choosing the right treatment option is not. Sharp HealthCare offers less-invasive options to treat prostate cancer and other prostate conditions.

Attend a free seminar and hear from experts in the treatment of prostate cancer to learn how the latest treatment options can result in fewer side effects and better outcomes. Select seminars will include hearing from a board-certified oncologist about non-invasive radiation treatment and/or a board-certified surgeon who will discuss how minimally invasive robotic surgery can mean less pain and scarring, and a shorter hospital stay - so you can get back to your normal life more quickly. See below for specific topics. At each seminar you will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the doctors.

Sharp was the first in San Diego to perform robotic surgery. Our team of affiliated physicians has performed nearly 1,900 robotic surgeries - more than any other health care system in San Diego. Robotic surgery costs no more than traditional surgery and is covered by most health insurance plans.

Some homes are slow to sell even in the hottest markets

With full-fledged sellers’ markets underway in dozens of metropolitan areas around the country, new research has found curious statistical patterns emerging: Even in cities where listings get multiple offers within days or hours, significant numbers of homes are sitting on the market for six months, 12 months, or more with no takers.
