Grossmont Union High School District students dive into design competition
Approximately 300 students plunged into designing water-themed jewelry in the 3rd Annual Golden Artistry Jewelry Design Competition. The twenty-two finalists will be honored this Thursday evening, May 5th, at La Mesa’s Community Center. The best design entry, created in precious metal by Master Goldsmith Terry Whyte, will be revealed to the community as it’s presented to the talented student, along with other awards. All of the finalists will receive awards. The hosted event is a fundraiser for the arts, monies being distributed by Friends of East County Arts, Inc. The evening will have food, beverages, a live auction, and is open to all who want to support the arts.
